Ethical Principles

TABAD is a peer-reviewed journal and is published twice a year, in June and December. Articles meet with stakeholders as Turkish or English in electronic format only.

The manuscripts submitted to the journal should not have been previously published elsewhere and/or should not be in the review process. TABAD accepts experimental and descriptive studies, research reports, review articles and method development research in the field.

All manuscripts that proceed the submission process are subjected to an editorial process in terms of purpose, scope, method, references, and writing rules. Articles that are successful in the first review by the editor(s) are assigned to two referees with the two-way blind review method and the peer review process is initiated. The opinions of additional referees may be consulted if necessary.

Acceptance, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Rejection decisions are making to one of them for the articles whose review process is completed. Revisions and adjustments are expected to be made by the author(s) within the specified period of time for the articles that has been made Major or Minor Revision decision. If the revised manuscript is not uploaded to the system by making revisions within this period, it is assumed that the articles are withdrawn from the journal process.

Revisions made by the authors should be created as a separate document with justification and this is subject to editorial review.  If deemed necessary, additional revisions may be requested from the author(s). This stage does not mean that the candidate article is accepted. As a result of the final editorial review, if it is judged that the article has been sufficiently developed, the article is proceeded the acceptance process. If it is evaluated that the revisions made are not sufficient, the editor or review evaluation process continues.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor and Authors are determined by taking into account the international standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Editor(s)

• The candidate articles must comply with the ethical principles of the journal,
• The review process is carried out by referees who are experts in the field of the candidate article in accordance with the journal processes,
• It is obliged to ensure the necessary coordination to complete the evaluation process within the specified period.

Author(s)

• That the submitted candidate article is an original work by the author(s),
• That all rights related to the nominated article are transferred to TABAD,
• That they have seen and approved the current and final version of the candidate article,
• The candidate article has not been published elsewhere in electronic/print form or has not been submitted for publication,
• That the texts, images, and visuals included in the candidate article do not violate the Authors Royalties of other persons,
• The rights of all kinds of transmission, including processing, reproduction, representation, printing, publication, distribution, and transmission via the web, regarding the candidate article are transferred to the journal, accepts and undertakes.

The use of any part of the article in another publication is permitted provided that the relevant article is cited in accordance with APA rules.

The author(s) undertakes that the journal editors have no responsibility for any claims and lawsuits to be filed by third parties due to authors royalties infringement(s), and that all responsibility belongs to them. In addition, they also guarantee that the article does not contain any criminal or illegal statements, that no illegal means or methods were used during the research, that all legal permissions were obtained for the research and that ethical rules were followed.

For studies that require data collection on humans, ethics committee approval must be obtained from an authorized institution and the information and documents related to this approval must be specified in accordance with the format in the journal template.

In article review and acceptance processes of the journal, there is no charge to the author(s) or other stakeholders.

Personal information (name, e-mail address, etc.) on the journal web page will be used for the stated purposes of the journal. It will not be made available for any other purpose.

The instructions presented in this document may be modified and updated by the editor to better suit the journal's own functioning.
